So, yesterday I started charting what I’m eating to be 100% sure I’m getting enough nutrients and not just losing weight through starvation. So, for the past 2 days I’ve definitely been eating enough and I swear I couldn’t fit another morsel into my stomach by the end of the day. Yet, I’ve lost another 1.5lbs in the past 2 days, so that’s 4lbs in 4 days. I’m reassured though by my fancy scales that I’m actually losing body fat and not muscle mass, so that’s got to be good!
I now have a large quantity of veg, fruit and meat in my fridge and a meal plan for the week. I am enjoying the breakfast smoothie and I realized that the quantity it makes is for 2 servings, which is why it was so much the first time I tried it. However, I actually quite enjoy the 2 servings and so I’m going to continue making enough for over a pint of veggie/fruit/coconut milk drink every day.
I feel marvellous – I’m more alert, I feel brighter (I can’t describe what this really means, but it feels good), and my husband tells me my skin looks better. I’m still not getting enough sleep, but I need to work on that: one step at a time and ditto with the exercise – it’s negligible and I know I need to fix it, so that’s going to happen, just not today.
Today will be a challenge because I’m at work and have dinner out tonight, but the plan is to go to a steakhouse where I can order quality meat and accompanying large quantities of veg. Fingers crossed I can stay away from the creamy, garlic, scalloped potatoes……
