So, I’m dairy-free and that meant giving away all my office-stash of chocolate … quite a traumatic thing for me, but my team loved it.

Today was odd because breakfast, lunch and dinner were quite different from my normal and I ate a lot of veg.  I must say though that I don’t feel any better, in fact I feel tired, have a headache and have been hungry all afternoon.  I’ve drunk gallons of water and tea, which as kept me occupied and has helped me not think about chocolate (I, the old me, ate chocolate every day…).

Anyway, one day in and no chocolate, no dairy, no alcohol, and, of course, no gluten.  I hope I’m lighter in the morning.

I haven’t had a chance to read anything new about diet/food today because I’ve been super busy at work and just finished up 5 minutes ago.  However, my awesome husband went and bought me the Wahls Protocol Cooking for Life recipe book.  I’m really pleased to have that in my life because just with a quick browse through, I have hope that the food is going to be delicious, regardless of what level of the diet I end up doing.

I did discover though that I’m not allowed to eat eggs… they’re not dairy, so I assumed they were fine, but sadly that’s not the case.  So, back to the drawing board on breakfast: I think I’ll be buying a high-speed blender at the weekend to have morning smoothies.  I’m also now deeply concerned about what to eat when I’m travelling, particularly to Texas!  Hmmmm…more to come on that.
